It’s not that hard to get it right

Here’s another example of reactionary media reporting on the latest Vatican document, heavy on hype and light on research.

Stories like that are prompting articles and blog posts like this (and as mentioned below, Carl Olson’s at Ignatius Insight).

Which is probably the result – intended or unintended – the Vatican wanted in issuing the clarification of doctrine in the Church. Now, everybody’s talking about what the Church believes, so it’s a teaching moment.

And the headline is starting to show up on more stories that indeed, the Pope is Catholic.
