Sheila Gribben Liaugminas is an Emmy Award winning journalist with extensive experience in both the secular and religious journalism. Her writing and broadcasting covers matters of faith, culture, politics and the media.

 

Sheila began her journalist career working for the Dayton Journal Herald newspaper in Ohio, and then for the Dayton CBS affiliate.

 

In Chicago, she reported for Time magazine for more than twenty years, having reported on a number of Time cover stories. She has been published in the Chicago Tribune, Crain’s Chicago Business, and the National Review Online.

 

At Chicago’s NBC owned station (WMAQ-TV) she served as co-host of the Emmy Award winning program YOU, and guest-hosted a morning talk show.

 

Sheila has been active in the religious media, with contributions to the National Catholic Register, Crisis Magazine, Adoremus Bulletin, and Voices, the magazine published by Women for Faith in Family.

 

Entering radio broadcasting as a regular contributor, Sheila then hosted the popular radio shows The Right Questions and Issues and Answers on Relevant Radio, heard throughout the United States. She has also appeared as guest host of talk shows on Relevant Radio and Ave Maria Radio, and hosted ‘America’s Lifeline’ on the Salem Network. Sheila currently writes and broadcasts the daily commentary “A Closer Look” on Relevant Radio and serves as Network Correspondent. She can also be heard reading the Sunday Gospel on www.H2oNews.org in the English edition.
