The Times at war

The New York Times has sunk to a new lew, a stunning depth, in its ongoing war against the Bush adminstration and the Iraq war. It’s hard to outdo some of the outrages coming out of the Times over the past year, but this does it.

Michelle Malkin has details of the rules journalists have to follow in covering the war firsthand, from her own visit recently. Posting them at the beginning of this piece establishes the gravity of what they cover.

Apparently, the NYTimes didn’t think the rules applied to them. Yesterday, the Houston Chronicle blew the whistle on an appalling violation of those rules by Times reporters, who posted a photograph and videotape of a Texas soldier dying in Iraq–before the family had been notified…

Malkin calls this an “unspeakable violation.” I agree. It speaks for itself.
